One Season ends, Another Begins
Wow! What a summer season by all the young athletes! Our training group grew significantly with Mornington Little Aths and Toorak College kids joining the group, to go along with our FLAC and Seaford athletes. All the athletes have shown tremendous improvement in their technique and running form. Balance and stability has also improved. All of this culminated in many athletes improving their PB throughout the season and competing at Regional and State Athletics for their Centre. Many of the kids made finals at State and won a few medals and their smiles were fantastic. To those that missed out, remember you are in the top 24 in Victoria to make it to State and you will be back bigger and better, every season.
We now move onto to Winter training, with a focus on Cross Country and General fitness training. We are building up our base fitness and learning new movements. We have had soccer player and footballer come onboard to improve their acceleration, speed, fitness and agility.
Susie Power will be running some Cross Country training on Mondays and Thursdays at 4:30, at Ballam Park. Contact details for Susie are in the Contact Us section and on the Facebook page. Susie and I will work together on some sessions and I will be running a combination of Cross Country and General Fitness building sessions, with every 4th week being - "Speedweek", at the usual class times.
Power2ADAPT is in full support of Mornington Little Aths getting their own track and will continue to assist with the development of their athletes and facilities and we look forward to the further development of this wonderful Centre.
